Living with the Four Spiritual Laws
Not knowing about the four spiritual laws, most people have understood life as nothing but the process of surviving all the hassles and problems that are met along the way. In fact, some have considered that problems are so much a part of life that they have gone entirely pessimistic about it. With pessimism embedded deeply in themselves, they naturally become skeptical at any solutions and they balk at ideas that somehow encourage them to overcome their troubles. Consequently, such attitudes can bring only further misery not because they of the objective reality of it but because of subjective will.
There are laws established by states to instill order within a society. However, these do not govern the individual lives of men. Individuals alone dictate themselves on taking the necessary steps towards success or on selecting the wrong routes that end up with failures. Without laws to guide one through life, he may only continue to make choices based on impulse, which most of the times are not correct. However, if one imposes on himself the four spiritual laws, he virtually allows himself some light as he treads through the path of life.
The first spiritual law is based on gratitude. One must show gratefulness to people who have enlightened him spiritually. This gratitude is, by itself, a guarantee that prosperity will continue to come as he aptly expresses his appreciation for it. At the same time, he should be very forgiving to people and to himself. This is another of the four spiritual laws. If he continues to harbor grudges to anyone, he cannot expect to have an attitude that will attract any form of blessings or wealth to come his way. It is even worse if he continue to hate himself for some wrong that he did. For being unforgiving to himself, he will certainly lose self-confidence and he will never make the necessary steps towards success.
Discovering your purpose in life is another spiritual law. One needs to find out why he is here in this world. Definitely, he is not here just to try to survive only to die inevitably in the end. Any person is alive for a reason. If one can only discern about it then he will have the motivation and direction in living out his life. All that is required from him is the passion or the determination to comply with that purpose, to reach that direction. Finally, to complete the four spiritual laws, one must set a plan to achieve the good things in life, both material and spiritual. With achievable goals and workable plans, there is no reason why he cannot be successful in the end.
